Our commitment to transparent and inclusive science extends to encouraging studies that may otherwise be overlooked, such as those with small sample sizes (when convincingly justified), replication studies, null findings (provided these are not due to methodological shortcomings), and research conducted by students or early-career investigators. We believe that every well-conducted investigation, regardless of its size, novelty, or outcome, adds valuable insights to the cumulative and transparent process of scientific inquiry, thereby fostering innovation, reproducibility, and rigor.
However, this does not imply that such studies will be automatically accepted for publication. All submissions are subject to the same rigorous scientific and editorial standards established by the journal. Authors are expected to discuss the implications of small sample sizes, replication nature, and lack of statistical significance appropriately within the context of their study.
