Scope and Objectives

The journal focuses on advancing research in the fields of clinical nutrition, food science, and food technology disciplines.

Appeals and Complaints

The authors have the right to appeal if they have a genuine cause to believe that the editorial board has wrongly rejected the paper. If the authors wish to appeal the decision, they should email the editorial office explaining in detail the reason for the appeal. The appeals will be acknowledged by the editorial office and will be investigated in an unbiased manner. The processing of appeals will be done within 4 – 6 weeks. While under appeal, the said manuscript should not be submitted to other journals. The final decision rests with the Editor in Chief. Second appeals are not considered.

VJFSCN reserves the right to amend or update the Policies of the journal at any time to comply with evolving laws or best practices. All changes will be published in the journal, and authors and contributors are encouraged to review the policy regularly.

Editor in Chief

• Oversees editorial strategy and ensures high editorial standards and overall quality.
• Manages the peer review process when required.
• Handles complex cases, ethical issues, and disputes.
• Editor in Chief's decision is final.

Associate Editors

• Manage the peer review process.
• Select appropriate reviewers and evaluate their feedback.
• Make final decision on manuscripts.
• Editors associated with any manuscript shall not be involved in the editorial process of that manuscript.

Managing Editors

• Handles administrative tasks, including communication with authors.
• Assigns manuscripts to Editors.
• Ensures timely processing and adherence to guidelines.

Corrections:

Corrections are issued when the accuracy of published information is significantly compromised. These corrections are published in a subsequent issue of the journal under the sections "Corrections" and "Addenda."

Retractions:

Retractions occur when the fundamental conclusions of a paper are seriously undermined. This policy ensures that the integrity of the scientific record is maintained by addressing significant issues that impact the reliability of the research.
